5. Install the Ultimatte Module Board as follows:
• Carefully align the module over the sockets.
• Ensure that the components of the Ultimatte Module Board are facing up.
• Use your fingers to “feel” for the proper pin-to-socket alignment.
• While applying downward pressure, slowly rock the module until the module is
fully seated. Avoid flexing the board — so as not to bend the pins.
• After installation, “sight” down the board at the connector level, to make sure that
there are no exposed pins. It is recommended that you rotate the board 360 degrees
to check all planes.
6. When complete, carefully replace the Synergy 1 Frame Processor Board into the
frame, and secure with the outer latches on the board edges.
This completes the installation for the Ultimatte Insider option. Refer to the Synergy 1 Operation
Guide or the Synergy 100 Operation Guide for operating instructions.
Ultimatte Insider Board Jumpers
There are ten factory-preset jumpers on the Ultimatte Insider Board . Please leave the jumpers in
their factory-preset, default positions.
Ultimatte Insider Board LEDs
There are three LEDs on the Ultimatte Insider Board — one red LED and two green LEDs. During
boot up, the three LEDs indicate a particular status of the unit.
• The red LED should be off after the board boots up. If it is not, a problem exists with the
unit.
• The center green LED is the communications status indicator. It lights when
communication is taking place between the host and the board.
• The right green LED is the board’s heartbeat. Whenever a video signal exists at the input
of the board and the microprocessor is running, the LED toggles every 120 fields.
Caution Failure to reinstall a module with a precise 1:1 pin-to-socket
orientation will damage the Synergy 1
