4. Install
Deserializer Modules
(4000A-061) in each socket as follows:
•
Carefully align the
Deserializer Module
over the socket.
•
Ensure that the board’s components are facing the rear of the
Frame Processor
Board
.
•
Use your fingers to “feel” for the proper pin-to-socket alignment.
•
While applying downward pressure, slowly rock the
Deserializer Module
horizontally (side to side), until the module is fully seated. Avoid flexing the board
— so as not to bend the pins.
•
After installation, “sight” down the board at the connector level, to make sure that
there are no exposed pins.
5. Locate the following two sockets:
•
J28
— labeled
AUX1 OUT
•
J27
— labeled
AUX2 OUT
6. Install a
Serializer Modules
(4000A-062) in each socket as follows:
•
Carefully align the
Serializer Module
over the socket.
•
Ensure that the board’s components are facing the rear of the
Frame Processor
Board
.
•
Use your fingers to “feel” for the proper pin-to-socket alignment.
•
While applying downward pressure, slowly rock the
Serializer Module
horizontally (side to side), until the module is fully seated. Avoid flexing the board
— so as not to bend the pins.
•
After installation, “sight” down the board at the connector level, to make sure that
there are no exposed pins.
7. Replace the
Frame Processor (CPU) Board
in the Synergy 1 frame.
8. Power on the Synergy 1 frame.
This completes the procedure to install the
DVE Send Option
. Next you will install the Software
Option Registration Key for the
DVE Send Option
.
Note
The
AUX1 IN
and
AUX2 IN
signals route the video and alpha signals
of the DVE to the third (internal) keyer of the Synergy MLE — which
is reserved exclusively for
DVE Send
operations.
Caution
Failure to reinstall a
Deserializer Module
with a precise 1:1
pin-to-socket orientation will damage the
Frame Processor Board
,
the selected module — or both! Double check your work!
