Installing the Robotic Camera System Interface Option
This section provides general instructions for installing the Robotic Camera System Interface
Option , which enables serial control over robotic camera systems including pan, tilt, zoom, focus, and
scene recalls — directly from the Synergy 1 switcher. For more information on setting up your device
with the Synergy switcher, refer to the
Synergy 1 Installation Guide
Use the following procedure to install the Robotic Camera System Interface Option :
1. Install the Robotic Camera System Interface software option. Refer to the section
“ Installing Software Options – Synergy 1 ” on page 6-7 for instructions.
2. Ensure that the serial port of your robotic camera is properly set up to accept commands
via its remote port. Refer to the documentation for your device to learn more on its
specific remote control communications port.
3. Ensure that you have set up a communications port on the Synergy 1 switcher for a
robotic camera. Refer to the section, “ Setting up the Switcher ” in the Synergy 1
Installation Guide , for instructions.
4. Ensure that the desired BNC is configured as a robotic camera on the Synergy 1
switcher. Refer to the section, “ Setting Up Robotic Camera BNCs ” in the Synergy 1
Installation Guide for instructions.
