Rosemount 5300 Series with HART® to Modbus® Converter

3.

Select 

Enable Modbus Communication

 and click 

OK

.

4.

If the HMC is configured for Modbus ASCII or Levelmaster communication cycle the 
power to the transmitter (the HMC will then communicate using Modbus RTU for 
20 seconds and under that time it is possible to connect with RRM).

5.

Open the 

Search Device

 window and make sure Modbus is selected in the Protocol 

list.

6.

Search for HMCs by selecting 

Scan Address Range

, and choose a start and end 

address for Modbus. The default HMC Modbus address is 246.

7.

Click the 

Start Scan

 button. 

8.

Click 

OK

 to connect when the device is found.

9.

From the 

Service

 menu, choose the 

Enter Service Mode

 option.
