Push the pressure release levers
as illustrated to release the pres-
sure between the rollers.

Carefully pull the misfed paper
from the rear cover side.
F
Return the pressure release levers
to their original positions.

Close the top cover and rear cover,
and press the center of the top
cover until it locks securely into
place.
Note

If the printer is equipped with
the paper feed unit (optional)
and the duplex unit (optional),
close the paper guide unit, cov-
er and upper portion of the du-
plex unit.
When the Message "Remove
Misfeed From Output Tray"

Toner printed on misfed paper is
not fused and can make your
hands or clothing dirty. Take care
to avoid contact with the toner as
you remove misfed paper.

Open the rear cover of the printer.
Note
❒
If the printer is equipped with
the paper feed unit (optional)
and the duplex unit (optional),
first open the cover of the du-
plex unit (a), then open the pa-
per guide unit inside the duplex
unit (b), and finally open the
rear cover of the printer (c).
