During a printer job, a fax message could come in
while a page from the computer is still being
compiled.
If the timer has not run out yet, the machine will
continue to compile the page from the printer and
the fax message will not be printed. However, if
the timer runs out before the page has been
compiled, all pages of the fax message will be
printed, then the rest of the waiting print job will be
output.
Therefore, with a longer setting, the fax machine is
more likely to wait until the end of print job output
before printing any incoming fax message. A
shorter setting allows the fax machine to interrupt
a print job to print an incoming fax message.
Default setting: 0A(H) = 10 s
