LEF and SEF in this table are with relation to the direction of paper feed
(“long edge feed” means that the long edge is going into the machine first).
They do not refer to the decals on the trays.

Paper size detection is based on the four paper size switches [A] on the main unit,
which detect the setting of the paper size dial [B] on the paper tray.

The paper size dial has grooves and ridges on the side facing the paper size
switches. Each switch turns off when it falls into a groove, and turns on when a
ridge presses it.
