Bypass Tray”.
•
After setting the paper tray completely against the back, the machine will automatically feed the
paper about 12 mm.
•
Always set the paper for short-edge feed (SEF) with the print side down.
•
Paper cannot be fed from the bypass tray for duplex printing.
•
Before loading curled paper, try to correct the problem by bending the paper once against the
direction of the curl.
•
Paper registration cannot be done for the bypass tray while the machine is initializing or during a
print job.
•
When using letterhead paper, or with paper that needs special positioning for the print area, use a
machine paper tray.
•
While paper is loaded in the bypass tray, Tray 1 and extended paper Tray 2 cannot be used.
•
Printing cannot be done with no paper tray set in the machine.
•
Never open and close the top cover or front cover while paper is loaded in the bypass tray.
Opening and closing a cover will cause a paper jam.
•
Paper cannot be set in the bypass tray while the machine is in the Energy Save mode. Press any
key on the operation panel to release the machine from the Energy Save mode, and then load
paper in the bypass tray.
