After the initial setting is completed at startup or returning from energy saver mode,
the pressure roller thermistor (end) has detected over 240 °C continuously for 0.03
seconds.

EGB (PCB1) defective
•
Pressure roller thermistor (end) (TH4) defective
•
Fusing temperature control software crashed
Enter the SP mode and execute fuser SC reset. Then turn the machine OFF and
ON.
If the SC occurs again, do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling
the power after each step.
1.
If TRIAC damaged, replace PSU (PCB4).
2.
Replace the EGB (PCB1).
3.
Replace the Pressure roller thermistor (end) (TH4).

Fuse for new unit detection cannot be blown

Short-circuit between connector pins

Defective fuse

Defective fuse blown circuit driver on EGB (PCB1)
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
1.
Check the connector pins at the fusing unit.
2.
Check the connector pins at the fusing relay connector.
3.
Check the CN307 connector pins at the EGB.
4.
Replace the fusing unit.
5.
Replace the EGB (PCB1).
6.
Replace the harness between the fusing unit and EGB (PCB1).
