INSPECTION AND CHECKING
MANUAL No.
9112
Warning:
Once the firing head has been removed, hold open end of valve away
from hands to avoid injury from the activating knife.
3.
While keeping hands clear, pull out the firing wire to release the spring and
activating knife. If the activating knife cannot be released, replace the firing
head.
4.
Remove and discard red safety cap.
5.
Pull out the firing wire to release the spring and the firing pin. If the firing pin
can not be released, the upper part of the operating head shall be replaced.
6.
Screw the PF-V reseat tool (P/N 57-GZ016) onto the bottom of the firing
head. Squeeze the tool completely while placing a new firing wire in the top
hole. Push firing wire into the top hole until it pops into place.
7.
Release reset tool and remove it from the firing head. When the reseat tool
is removed, the activating knife is reseated and the firing wire is locked.
8.
Repeat the previous process at least twice for the upper part of the operating
head to confirm it is effective. It is now ready for operation. If the activating
knife cannot be reseated or the firing wire can not be locked, replace the firing
head.
9.
Replace the red safety cap on the firing head and then re-assemble it to
cylinder valve. Torque to 60 Nm (See Figure 1).

the reduction exceeds 2% of the stipulated weight or exceeds 100g (take the smaller
value of the two), the cylinder shall be recharged as per Chapter 1 Table 1 in this
manual.
B.
A recharged cylinder shall be subjected to a high-temperature water-bath test (50°C
