6. Start Ventilation
6.5.2 Apnea Ventilation
Apnea ventilation is a backup vent mode initiated
when the ventilator detects patient apnea in CPAP/PSV,
VSIMV, PSIMV, V+SIMV, BPAP and APRV modes.
If no spontaneous breathing time beyond apnea time,
mandatory breaths are triggered with apnea ventilation.
Apnea ventilation mode includes volume-controlled
and pressure-controlled Ventilation.
