D.4. ELECTRIC HEATING ELEMENT FOR SPACE HEATING
Description
To ensure thermal comfort even after the boiler is extinguished
and heat from the thermal store is exhausted, an electric heating
element for space heating can be used. The electric heating
element is switched by the controller only when needed. Its
operation can be blocked by Ripple control, by a time program, or
when the boiler is on. During the operation of the heating element
the heating temperature can be reduced automatically.
It is recommended to use electric heating elements equipped
with both an adjustable and a safety thermostat, with a contactor,
permitting blocking by Ripple control, e.g. ETT L series.
Heating elements are available in various designs and outputs,
the current assortment can be found on our website: https://www.
regulus.eu/en/ett-g-6-4-for-hw-storage-tanks-and-thermal-stores.
Intended for variants
1 (options A, B, C)
Installation
Into the E2/E3 connection of a DUO/HSK combination thermal
store or into any connection of a thermal store.
Settings in controller
The heating element for space heating comes preset from the
factory and no further adjustments are needed. Just set the same
or higher temperature with the thermostat knob than the heating
circuit temperature set in the controller (menu 5.1.10.).
If needed, set also conditions for blocking the heating element
(ECO function) in menu 5.8.6.
Connecting terminal
R3 (Only the contactor control can be connected to the terminal,
never connect the power supply of the heating element directly).
El. wiring
The electric heating element shall be wired to a terminal box or
electrical enclosure, 3/N/PE AC 400/230 V, fixed wiring. The wire
marked N-HDO is intended to control the heating element with
Ripple control. If Ripple control is not used, both the centre blue
wires (N and N-HDO) shall be joined together in the terminal box
or electrical enclosure. The wire marked OVLÁDÁNÍ (L-OVL) is
intended to control the heating element from a heating system
controller. This wire shall be connected with the controller R3
outlet.
