c) Driving the Vehicle
• Improper operation may cause serious injury and property damage! Only drive with the model directly in view. This
is why you shouldn’t drive at night.
• Only drive when your ability to react is unrestricted. Exhaustion or the influence of alcohol or medication can cause
incorrect responses, just as with real vehicles.
• Please note that this model vehicle must not be driven on public roads, places or streets. Also do not operate it on
private grounds without the owner’s permission.
• Never drive towards animals or people!
• Do not drive in rain, through wet grass, water, mud or snow. The model is not waterproof or watertight.
• Avoid driving at very low outdoor temperatures. Cold may cause the vehicle plastic to loose elasticity; then even
minor accidents will cause damage to the model.
• Do not drive in the case of a thunderstorm, under high-voltage power lines or in the proximity of radio masts.
• Leave the transmitter on while the vehicle is in operation. When parking the vehicle, always switch off the vehicle’s
speed controller first and disconnect the power supply from the speed controller completely then.
Now you may turn off the transmitter.
• The range of the transmitter decreases when the batteries (or rechargeable batteries) are weak. When the car’s
power supply is weak, the car gets slower and/or no longer responds correctly to the transmitter.
The power supply in the vehicle (4 batteries or 4 rechargeable batteries type AAA/micro) is not only used
for supplying the engine though the speed controller. The speed controller also generates the voltage/
current required for operating the receiver and the two steering servos.
For this, the speed controller has an integrated BEC (“Battery Eliminator Circuit”).
If the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the vehicle become weak, the voltage at the receiver drops as
well, so that the vehicle no longer reacts to control commands at the transmitter.
In this case, stop driving at once (switch off speed controller, disconnect power supply from vehicle, switch off
transmitter). Then replace the batteries/rechargeable batteries of the transmitter or vehicle.
• The motor and the drive, as well as the speed controller get hot during operation. Take a break of at least 5 minutes
before replacing the batteries/rechargeable batteries.
Do not touch the motor and speed controller until they have cooled down. Danger of burns!
