1 to 4096
Min Segment Size
16 point
Vertical Resolution
12 bits (4096 points)
Sinewave Total Harmonic Distortion
(at 4096 vertical points and
sampling rate of 500 MHz)
0.5%
Harmonic Signals Below the Carrier Level (at 4096 vertical points)
>50 dBc to 100KHz
>40 dBc to 10 MHz
>25 dBc to 200 MHz
Sequenced Arbitrary Waveforms
Operation
Permits division of the memory bank into smaller segments.
Segments may be linked, and repeated in user-selectable
fashion to generate extremely long waveforms. Sample clock
is selectable per segment. Sample clock changes coherently
between steps.
Advance Modes
Automatic Sequence Advance
No triggers required to step from one segment to the next.
Sequence is repeated continuously per a pre-programmed
sequence table.
Stepped Sequence Advance
Current segment is sampled continuously, external trigger
advances to next programmed segment. Segment is
switched with its attached sample clock. Control input is
TRIG IN connector.
Single Sequence Advance
Current segment is sampled to the end of the segment and
idles there. Next trigger advances to next segment. Control
input is TRIG IN connector.
Advance Sources
Internal
Internal programmable rate generator
External
Input
1) Front panel BNC.
2) VXIbus TTLTRG 0-3
3) VXIbus ECLTRG0
4) Front panel D-Sub connector. User can control active
segments in real time. Control input is 8-pin “D connector”.
Binary combination of 8 lines determines the next active
segment. Binary word at the connector controls the active
segment.
Sequencer steps
From 1 to 4096
Segment loops
From 1 to 1M
Segment Duration
Minimum 100 ns for more than one loop.
Sampling Clock Switching
Sample Clock is selectable per segment.
Ratio Between Carrier
and Switched Frequencies
1 through 65536
Sampling Clock Range
To 300 MHz, Switchable Clock
