5. Configure the Model 3162B as follows:
Function: Sine wave
Frequency: 1 MHz
Operating Mode:
Burst
Remote Commands: :RES
:OUTP ON

:INIT:CONT OFF
:BURST:STAT ON
:TRIG:COUN 10
6. Set oscilloscope and verify that the Model 3162B outputs a burst of 10
complete output waveforms. Remove the external pulse generator
connection from the Model 3162B for the next test.

1. Configure the Model 3162B as follows:
Function: USER
Sample Clock: 300 MHz
Amplitude: 3 V
Remote Commands: :RES
:OUTP ON
:FUNC:MODE USER
:FREQ 300e6
:VOLT 3
:FREQ:MODE FSK
:FSK 10
2. Using WaveCAD, or any other waveform generation program, load
segment 1 with a 4096-point waveform.
3. Connect the output from the Model 3162B to the oscilloscope and set
the oscilloscope to display the waveform.
4. Connect the 8021 trigger output to the 3162B trigger input. Set 8021
frequency to 1 kHz.
5. Verify that carrier frequency (73.24 kHz) is displayed when the trigger
signal is low and FSK frequency (7.324 kHz) when trigger signal is high.
