Printing a Start-up Page
When you turn on the printer, a start-up page prints. This page gives
you an overview of your QMS 4060 Print System.
The following information prints on the start-up page:
n
Printer product name
n
Cumulative number of printed sheets
n
Amount of resident RAM (in megabytes)
n
Number of PostScript typefaces in ROM
n
Default resolution
n
Software version, revision, and release numbers
n
Firmware level number
n
Hard disk attached
n
Paper input sources and sizes
n
Emulation and protocol information of all standard and optional
interfaces

Note:
When a font SIMM is installed, the following appears in the
Options section of the start-up page even though you have only one
installed:

If the start-up page prints with all the start-up page information, and
the print quality is good, go to chapter 3, “Connecting to a PC,” chap-
ter 4, “Connecting to an Ethernet Network,” or to chapter 5, “Con-
necting to a Macintosh,” of this manual, depending on your computer
platform.
