Setting Up Your Printer
Registering the Printer
QMS is committed to developing print systems that offer you flexible,
efficient solutions, so we’re interested in knowing how you plan to use
your printer.
To register by mail, fill out and send in your warranty card. To register
by telephone, in the US call QMS at (334) 633-4300. To register over
the internet contact QMS at http://www.qms.com, or online at
www.qms.com/support/prodreg. In other countries, refer to appendix
A, “QMS Customer Support,” for the appropriate telephone number.
Unpacking the Printer
The packing materials that protect your printer during shipment—
cardboard, polystyrene, tape, and shipping spacers—must be
removed before you can use the printer.
Use the following procedures to completely unpack the printer. To
ensure that your printer was not damaged during shipment, follow all
procedures, including printing the start-up page.

Note:
Save the packing materials in case you have to move or ship
the printer to a new location. See appendix C in the Operations guide,
“Repacking the Printer,” for procedures on moving or shipping the
printer.

Caution: Remove all packing materials (explained below) before
turning on the printer, or you may damage it.

The printer weighs approximately 287 lbs (130 kg). Do
not attempt to lift or move it by yourself.
