Control Panel Functions

This is the printer message window. This provides status mes-
sages, error messages, and menu configuration information.

This indicates the present function of each control button below
the label.

These are the five control buttons.

The Disk symbol turns on whenever the printer is accessing the
internal hard disk. Otherwise this symbol will not appear.

The Data symbol flashes on and off periodically when the printer
is receiving data from the interfaces. Otherwise, this symbol will
not appear.

The printer graphic shows the size media set up for the three
input trays. The currently selected tray is highlighted. If the
optional large-capacity input feeder or the output stacker is
installed, then the graphic shows these units attached. The active
tray or feeder blinks as media is pulled into the printer.
