Configuring the Telephone

Speaker/Headset
: Incoming calls are first taken via the loudspeaker
when the
key is pressed. Use the
key to switch from the loud-
speaker to the headset and vice versa during a call. You can continue the
call at anytime using the handset by picking up the handset.

: Incoming calls are first taken via the headset when
the
key is pressed. Use the
key to switch from the headset to the
loudspeaker and vice versa during a call. You can continue the call at
anytime using the handset by picking up the handset.
Setting the Headset Type
Various headset types are supported by the Forum IPhone 5020/5025/
5030 SIP system telephones.
Note:
The Forum IPhone 5010 has no headset jack.
1.
In the device menu. select the following entry:
– Forum IPhone 5020:
Preferences > Set Audio > DHSG
– Forum IPhone 5025/5030:
Audio > Headset > DHSG
2.
Select the desired headset type.
Setting the Headset Microphone Volume

In the device menu. select the following entry:
– Forum IPhone 5020:
Preferences > Set Audio > Headset Mic Vol

– Forum IPhone 5025/5030/5040:
Audio > Headset > Headset Mic
Vol

Select the desired volume.
Setting a Bluetooth Headset
The Forum IPhone 5040 supports the use of a Bluetooth headset as an
alternate headset device.
Note:
When the default
Speaker
audio mode is being used, if Blue-
tooth is enabled and a Bluetooth headset is paired, the phone
automatically switches the audio mode to
Headset/Speaker
(see also the chapter entitled
page 97).
