Export Control Classification: PL/UE 9E999

Set the switch "LIMITER CHECK" to the ON position.

(d)

Smoothly increase operation rating, watching the TQ indicator. Record the TQ value, for which
further increase of the power rating is jmpossible due to actuation of the torque TQ limiter. This
value is given in the TABLE 500.

(e)

Set the Gl range.

(f)

Set the switch "LIMITER CHECK" to OFF position.

(g)

Reset the knob "LIMITER CHECK" to neutral position.

(h)

Stop the engine or continue consecutive checks.

(5)

Inspection of the engine icing protection system functioning.

Switch on for a moment and then switch the icing protection system off. After switching on the system
CTOT shall increase by 15 + 30 K (15 ÷ 30°C; 27 ÷ 54°F) and following switching the system off, CTOT
shall decrease to initial level. It is the evidence of correct system functioning.

WARNING:

DO NOT SWITCH ON THE ICING PROTECTION SYSTEM AT AMBIENT
TEMPERATURE ABOVE 308 K (35°C; 95°F).

Inspection of the overspeed power turbine protection system functioning at check level.

(a)

Start and warm up the engine at Gl rating.

(b)

Check the main rotor speed Nr, which should not exceed 75% .

NOTE:

If necessary, decrease the main rotor speed by proper increasing the collective pitch of
main rotor.

(c)

Reset the knob "LIMITER CHECK" to position CHECK N2
