Setting the Video options
The r e a r e a numbe r of additional pictu r e settings you can
make using the VIDEO PARAMETER menu. The defaults,
if not stated, a r e listed in bold.
Important
• Note that if an option cannot be selected on the
VIDEO PARAMETER menu, it is unavailable due to
the cu rr ent sou r ce, setting and status of the r eceive r .
• All of the setting items can be set fo r each input
function.
• Setting items othe r than
V. CONV
can only be
selected when V. CONV is set to ON .
1 Set the remote control to the receiver operation
mode, then press VIDEO PARAMETER.
2 Use

to select the setting you want to adjust.
Depending on the cu rr ent status/mode of the r eceive r ,
ce r tain options may not be able to be selected. Check the
table below fo r notes on this.
3 Use
/
to set as necessary.
See the table below fo r the options available fo r each
setting.
4 Press RETURN to confirm and exit the menu.
f. • The HDMI Audio setting cannot be switched while pe r fo r ming
synch r onized amp mode ope r ations.
• The synch r onized amp mode must be tu r ned on in o r de r to play
the r eceive r ’s HDMI audio and video input signals f r om the TV with
the r eceive r ’s powe r in the standby mode. See About synchronized
operations on page 69.
g.This featu r e is only available when the connected display suppo r ts
the automatic audio/video synch r onizing capability (‘lipsync’) fo r
HDMI. If you find the automatically set delay time unsuitable, set A.
DELAY to OFF and adjust the delay time manually. Fo r mo r e details
about the lipsync featu r e of you r display, contact the manufactu r e r
di r ectly.
h.Only when listening to 2-channel sou r ces in Dolby P r o Logic IIx
Music/Dolby P r o Logic II Music mode.
i. Only when listening to 2-channel sou r ces in Neo:6 MUSIC/CINEMA
mode.
j. • You can’t use the Vi r tual Su rr ound Back mode when the
headphones a r e connected to this r eceive r o r when any of the
ste r eo, F r ont Stage Su rr ound Advance, Sound Ret r ieve r Ai r o r
St r eam Di r ect modes is selected.
• You can only use the Vi r tual Su rr ound Back mode if the su rr ound
speake r s a r e on and the SB setting is set to NO o r if Front Bi-Amp
o r ZONE 2 is selected at Speake r System. It can also be used when
Speaker B is selected at Speake r system and SP  AB is selected
with the SPEAKERS button.
• When inputting Dolby T r ue HD (SC-LX73 only), DTS-HD o r DTS
Exp r ess audio signals, the Vi r tual Su rr ound Back mode cannot be
used if no su rr ound signals a r e r eco r ded in the sou r ce.
k.• You can’t use the Vi r tual Height mode when the headphones a r e
connected to this r eceive r o r when any of the ste r eo, F r ont Stage
Su rr ound Advance, Sound Ret r ieve r Ai r o r St r eam Di r ect modes is
selected.
• The Vi
r tual Height mode cannot be used when no su rr ound
speake r is connected. It can also not be used when playing signals
containing actual f r ont height channel info r mation.
• When inputting ce r tain Dolby T r ueHD (SC-LX73 only), DTS-HD o r
DTS Exp r ess audio signals, the Vi r tual Height mode cannot be used
if no su rr ound signals a r e r eco r ded in the sou r ce.
