d) - For obtaining a perfect fit when mating the
crankcase halves, tap on the flywheel side u­
sing a mallet; under no circumstances should
the crankshaft extremity be acted on for easing
the operation.
For the Vespa G. S./VSB 1, if necessary operate
the kickstarter so that the kickstarter gear is
disposed in the position of asserr.bly.
e) - After having removed the wedge from the
crankshaft, blocked down the central bolts al­
ternately and progressively with their relative
nuts and washers, check that the crankshaft
rotates without rubbing against the crankcase.
N. B. - In the case of the Vespa G. S./VSB 1, the
main bearings are mounted on the crankcase inde­
p
endent to crankshaft: therefore on assy. of the
crankshaft it is not necessary to heat the crankcase.

d) - Para obtener una perfecta union de los semi­
carters, actuar eventualmente con un mazo de
madera sobre el semicarter !ado volante; no
actuar en la extremidad del ciguefial.
Para la Vespa G. 5./VSB l, si es necesario, ac­
cionar varias veces la palanca de la puesta en
marcha, de manera que el engranaje de la pue­
sta en marcha pueda disponerse en una posi­
ci6n correcta de montaje.
e) - Quitada la curia del ciguenal blocando los tor­
nillos centrales con tuercas
y
arandelas alter­
nativa y progresivamente, cerciorarse que el
ciguefial gire sin rozar en el carter.
N. B. - Para la Vespa G. 5./VSB 1, los coiinetes prin­
ci
p
ales se montan en el carter separadamente del
ciguefial : el calentamiento de los semicarters no debe
portanto efectuarse al montaje del cigueiial.
