B ) Operation layout
l. - Countersign the half shaft so as to ensure
that the same mating parts are remounted.
2. - Separate the two half shafts from the crank
pin using the press 5479 / A ( see fig. 40
and 41 ) .
3. - lmmerge the parts in a descaling solution
type HOS HOUSEMAN & THOMPSON LTD)
at 90
°
to 95
°
C for 20 mins; then wash
in running water.
4. - lmmerge the pieces in oil of the type

5. - For crankshafts with crank pin housing net
high frequency hardned, grind the above
mentioned holes so that the oversized crank­
pin can be mounted with the same force
fit as the original one, 0, 14 to 0,20 mm
(0.005"
+
0.008").
Centering the part on the workholder
T. 0019572 is effected using the mandrel
«
a
» (
see fig.
42) ; the reference
pads
«
b
» and « c » ( for the half shaft webs)
should be on the same plane and perpen­
dicular to housing axis; if necessary grind.
B ) Cicio de trabaio
1. - Marcar los ciguenales con objeto de poder
despues montar los mismos semiciguenales.
2. - Con la prensa 5479/A separar los dos se­
rr.icigueiiales de la munequilla ( ver fig. 40
y 41).
3. - Sumergir las piezas en una soluci6n desin­
crustante ( tipo HOS HOUSEMAN Y THOMP­
SON LTD.) a 90
°
+ 95
°
C durante 20'; de­
spues lavar cuidadosamente en agua.
4. - Sumergir las piezas en aceite tipo
«
DEWA­
TERING FLUID N. l
».
5. - Para los ciguenales con agujeros para mu­
fiequilla no endurecidos por alta frecuencia
rectifkar los correspondientes agujeros de
manera que la mufiequilla aumentada pue­
da montarse conservando el mismo ajuste
de la munequilla normal ( 0, 14

0,20 mm.).
El centraje sobre el portapiezas T. 0019572
se efectua con la espina
«
a
» (
ver fig. 42);
las piezas « b » y « c » ( para apoyo de
los semiciguenales) deben estar sabre el
misrr.o piano y normales al eje del agujero;
si es necesario rectificarlos.
