1. - This Manu·a1 has been compiled with the inten­
tion of furnishing necessary instructions relative
to the maintenance and repair of the Vespa,
for PIAGGIO organisations.
With this purpose the following arguments are
taken into consideration:
General instructions for vehicle maintenance.
Fault finding and remedies.
Tooling necessary for normal operations to
be carried out on the vehicle.
Illustrations and instructions for dismantling,
overhauling and reassembly.
Assembly play on main organs.
2. - The Vespa models, as refered to in this Manual,
are indicated on the table at page 7 together
with the main charactaristics of each vehicle.
3. - The validity of tooling for various vehicle mo­
dels is indicated in an apposite table placed
in correspondance to each illustrated table.
4. - If in the future modifications are introduced on
vehicles, which necessitate the use of new too­
ling, or modify the instructions brought forward
on this Manual, amended pages will be distri­
buted which are to be inserted in place of pre­
existing pages or appositely added into the
Manual in the case of new instructions etc.

l. - Este Manual tiene por objeto suministrar a los
Distribuidores PIAGGIO las instrucciones nece­
sarias para el entretenimiento y reparaci6n de
la Vespa.
Con tal prop6sito trata los argumentos siguien­
tes:
- Normas generales de entretenimiento ,del
vehfculo.

- Localizaci6n y eliminaci6n averfas e

gularidades de funcionamiento.
Utiles necesarios para las operaciones nor­
males a ejecutar sobre el vehkulo.
llustraciones y normas para el desmontaje,
revision y montaje.
- Juegos de montaje de los 6rganos princi­
pales.
2. - Los modelos de Vespa, a los que se rE:flere el
Manual, son indicados en la tabla de la pag. 7
en la que se hallan indicados tambien los da­
tos caracterfsticos principales de cada vehiculo.
3. - La validez de los utiles para los distintos mode­
los de vehkulo esta indicada en las tablas si­
tuadas en correspondencia de cada pagina ilu­
strada.
4. - Si en el futuro se hacen modificaciones en bs
vehfculos que necesiten el
