7.6.1.1 Key switch
The preferred mounting position for the key switch is on the housing of the electrically/hydro-
electrically operated boom barrier.
If you turn the key in the direction OPEN or CLOSE, the electric control system receives an
impulse which will initiate the automatic opening or closing of the barrier. There is no need to
keep the key turned in the respective direction; instead, you can return it to the middle
position and remove it. The electric control system will switch off the drive system in either
final position.
7.6.1.2 Desk-top console
The desk-top console will ideally be installed in a reception building. The console has three
function buttons: “Open”, “Stop” and “Close”.
If the electro-mechanical boom barrier is not sufficiently visible from the position of the desk-
top console, status lights can be installed in the buttons: when continuously lit, they signal
the current position of the barrier boom; when the boom is in motion, the light in the
corresponding button will flash.
