Before you remove the rear housing panel you should take into consideration that it is fitted
with a magnetic safety switch that disables all electrical functions if the hood has been
removed. This switch is connected to the control unit by means of a wire. Unless you just
want to set the rear housing panel aside and keep it in close proximity, the cable connection
may have to be disconnected.
Removal of the rear housing panel on GES 5 - 8 and GEHS 3 - 6
Now place the electro-mechanical barrier without its housing on the foundation. Make sure
that the cable can be threaded through the round opening in the base plate without being
damaged. Mark the positions of the holes in the base plate on the concrete foundation.
