Because the
ALERTING
is indication enough that the signaling is working, we drop the call from the com-
mand line:
unit(cfg)#call 123456 drop

The interface then sends a
DISCONNECT
message to the line, and the PSTN answers with a
RELEASE
COMPLETE
Verify ISDN layer 2 and 3 status
ISDN layer 2 and 3 can be verified using a
show
command:
node(cfg)#show port isdn 0 2 status

The line “link state: up” tells you that layer 1 is up. To debug the layers 2-3 state machines, use the command
debug isdn event
