7.1 INITIALIZING THE SYSTEM
Initializing the system clears all messages and mailboxes and returns all system
parameters to the default setting. Throughout this section, menu selections are indicated as
"System Administration Top Menu - (Selection Number)."
This means that the System
Administration Top Menu must first be accessed. On the first menu displayed, make the menu
selection corresponding to the first menu displayed. Repeat this process for each subsequent
menu when additional selection numbers are listed.

Go to the System Administration Top Menu
Note
"5: Quick Setup" does not appear when in the ASCII TERMINAL mode.

Type [4]
for System Initialization.
3.
Type [Y]
(this places the VPS in the off-line mode).

Type [\].
To initialize the system, follow the menu path as shown:

1 : Program
2 : System Reports
3 : Utility command
4 : System Reset/Clear
5 : Quick Setup
