To select characters using MCN or MDN
Instead of pressing the dial keys, you can select characters using MCN or MDN .
1. Press MCN repeatedly to display the desired character. Characters will be displayed in the following order shown
below.
When languages other than “
GREEK
” are selected in feature #110 (page 67)
A Uppercase letters
B Numbers
C Symbols
D Lowercase letters

*1 When you enter email address (i.e. scan to email address feature on page 42), lowercase letters will be
displayed first.
When “
GREEK
” is selected in feature #110 (page 67)
A English uppercase letters
B Greek uppercase letters
C Numbers
D Symbols
E English lowercase letters

be displayed first.
R If you press MDN , the order will be reversed.
2. Press MEN to insert the displayed character.
3. Return to step 1 to enter the next character.
To search for a name by initial

1. Initiate the address book.
2. Press M 5 N repeatedly to display any name with the initial “

” (see page 53 for character entry).
R To search for symbols, press MGN .
