service for which you want to use your
other Bluetooth device.

You can now communicate with this
device whenever it is within range and the
Bluetooth feature on your smartphone is
turned on. The range varies greatly
depending on environmental factors. The
maximum is about 10 meters.
Accepting a connection from another
Bluetooth device
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
To prepare your
smartphone to be able to accept a
connection from a requesting device, enter
the basic Bluetooth settings as described
in Entering basic Bluetooth settings.

Home
and then press
Start
(left softkey).

More
(left softkey) and
select
Settings
.

Select
Connections
and then select
Bluetooth
.

Menu
(right softkey) and
select
Turn On Bluetooth
,

If you have already set up a partnership
with the transmitting device, your
smartphone is ready to receive the info.
If you haven’t set up a connection,
press
Menu
(right softkey), and
select
Turn On Visibility
to let the
device find your smartphone and
request a connection.

When prompted to add this device,
select
Yes
.

Enter the same passkey on your
smartphone and on the Bluetooth
device.

(Optional) To give the partnership a
more meaningful name, select
Display
Name
and enter a new name.
TIP
To delete the established partnership with
a device, go to the
Bluetooth Devices
screen
and highlight the connection you want to
remove. Press
Menu
(right softkey) and
select
Delete
. Press
Yes
(left softkey) to
confirm the deletion. The deleted device can
no longer automatically connect with your
smartphone.
