6.5.7 78G ASSEMBLY
AIR INTAKE
Mark the position of the air intake (D) of the recommend
-
ed diameter on the outside wall; move the barbecue
away and make the hole (D) marked on the wall.
This outlet must always be open and equipped with an
anti-insect grille and adjustable closing shutter.
The section of the hole (D) must be increased by
20% for every meter of distance from the external
wall.
For further information see par. 5.3
EXTERNAL
AIR INTAKE
and the technical data sheet.
BASE POSITIONING
Position the optional height increasing element (C) (35
cm or 70 cm) on the installation site. Remove the base (1)
from the packaging and place it on the height increasing
element. To verify that the height reached by the base (1)
is correct, place the fire beds temporarily (23d-23e-23f).
Then check that the height of the base (1) with the fire
beds above corresponds to the height of the chosen
cladding (A); otherwise use a height increasing element
of a different height.
A space of 5 mm must be provided for expansion
between the fire bed (2a–2b-3) and the cladding
(A)
. Fix the height increasing element (C) and the
base (1) to each other and to the floor.
ASSEMBLY OF WALLS AND FIRE FLOOR
Place the walls (4a-4b-4c) on the base (1) fixing them
with the glue.
Fix the 6a-6b-6c cast iron plates together with the
screws and nuts supplied, interposing ceramic fibre
(FC). Dry place the fire beds (23d-23e-23f) on the base
(1) without securing them in any way.
Join the cast iron plate (7) to the cement element of
the side wall (8) using the appropriate screws supplied;
correctly position the element (7-8) on the fire beds (23f-
23e) fixing it to these and to the cast iron plate (6b-6c)
with a small quantity of refractory mortar.
If the barbecue is to be installed with right or left opening,
do not install one of the walls (7-8).
MOUNTING THE RING, HOOD AND FUME GAS
REGULATOR
Place the ring (11) on the back wall (4c-6a-6b-6c) and
on the side wall (7-8), interposing between the cast iron
wall (6a-6b-6c) and the ring (11) a strip of ceramic fibre
(FC) that will act as a seal.
Place the fume gas regulator (13-13a) over the ring
(11), then install the hood (12) always taking care to seal
the support areas with the glue. Insert the ash collection
box (20), the cast iron grill (19) and the embers protec-
tion (24) to be inserted between the fire bed (23d) and
the lining (A).
