6.5.6 116R ASSEMBLY
AIR INTAKE
Mark the position of the air intake (D) of the recommend
-
ed diameter on the outside wall; move the barbecue
away and make the hole (D) marked on the wall.
This outlet must always be open and equipped with an
anti-insect grille and adjustable closing shutter.
The section of the hole (D) must be increased by
20% for every meter of distance from the external
wall.
For further information see par. 5.3
EXTERNAL
AIR INTAKE
and the technical data sheet.
BASE POSITIONING
Position the optional height increasing element (C) (35
cm or 70 cm) on the installation site. Remove the metal
base (1) from the packaging and place it on the height
increasing element. To verify that the height reached
by the base (1) is correct, temporarily dry-place the fire
beds (5a, 5b,-6).
Then check that the height of the base (1) with the fire
surfaces above (5a-5b-6) corresponds to the height of
the chosen covering
; otherwise use a riser of a different
height.
A space of 5 mm must be provided for expansion
between the fire beds
(5a–5b-6) and the cladding
(A).
METALLIC BASE FIXING
Check that the height reached by the base (1) is correct,
fix the height increasing element (C) to the floor and
the
metal base (1) to the height increasing element (C) with
the glue. Complete by filling the two upper openings with
the glue.
Reposition the fire beds (5a, 5b, 6)
definitively, resting
them on the metallic base (1) without securing them in
any way, fill the joints only with refractory earth; the fire
beds will be free to expand and restrict from the stresses
of the heat from the fire.
BASE AND SIDE WALLS
Position and level the walls (2-4a-4b-3) fixing them with
the glue.
If the fireplace is to be installed with right or left
opening, do not install one of the walls (3).
Place the cast iron plate (10) against the wall (2), drill the
wall with a 5mm bit, then screw the cast iron
plate (10)
with the two 6 self-drilling screws supplied.
MOUNTING THE RING, HOOD AND FUME GAS
REGULATOR
Place the ring (13) above the walls (2-3-4a-4b), install
the hood (14a-14b-15-16) always taking care to seal the
support areas with the glue.
Place the fume gas reg-
ulator (12) over the hood (16) and the chain (11). Then
insert the combustion air regulator (7), the ash collection
box (9) and the cast iron grill (10).
Complete by inserting the embers protector (11a) insert-
ing it into the gap between the fire beds (5a-5b-6) and
the cladding (A).
