3 CHARACTERISTICS AND
DESCRIPTION
3.1 Description
Patio barbecues are traditional open fireplaces, built
specifically for cooking food and inside homes.
The fireplace fireboxes are available in refractory materi
-
al with a high percentage of alumina or cast iron and can
be completed with any Palazzetti coating.
3.2
Identification plate
The plate with code, product description and serial
number is located on the side of the packaging, to be
kept for any request. It is highly recommended to remove
the warranty slip, incorporating it into this booklet.
3.3 Fuel type
Waste, bark, wood treated with paints, panels,
coal, plastic materials, paper and cardboard
cannot be burned, under penalty of forfeiture of the
appliance warranty.
The continuous and prolonged use of wood
particularly rich in aromatic oils (e.g. eucalyptus,
myrtle, etc.) causes sudden deterioration of the
internal components of the product.
Patio indoor barbecues should preferably be fed with
well-seasoned, small-sized beech/birch wood or with
lignite or charcoal briquettes. Each type of wood has
different characteristics that also affect the combustion
efficiency.
Whatever wood you decide to burn, always remember
to split it to make it lose moisture: the higher its water
content, the more heat is needed to ignite.
For lighting, do not use firelighters derived from
petroleum or of chemical origin: they can cause
serious damage to the walls of the hearth. Only
use ecological fire lighting aids.
Each ignition must take place slowly and gradually until
the barbecue is heated evenly. Too fast heating can
cause noticeable cracks and seriously compromise the
structure.
It is prohibited to use the appliance as an incinera-
tor to burn rubbish.

"7.2 Lighting mode" on page 45
