6.5.4 86R ASSEMBLY
AIR INTAKE
Mark the position of the air intake (D) of the recommend
-
ed diameter on the outside wall; move the barbecue
away and make the hole (D) marked on the wall.
This outlet must always be open and equipped with an
anti-insect grille and adjustable closing shutter.
The section of the hole (D) must be increased by
20% for every meter of distance from the external
wall.

BASE POSITIONING
Position the optional height increasing element (C)
(35 cm or 70 cm) on the installation site. Remove the
base (1) from the packaging and place it on the height
increasing element.
To check that the height reached by
the base (1) is correct, temporarily place the fire bed (1a)
dry, then check that the height of the base (1) with the fire
bed above corresponds to the height of the cladding (A)
chosen
; otherwise use a height increasing element of a
different height
.
A space of 5 mm must be provided for expansion
between the fire bed (1a) and the cladding (A). Fix
the height increasing element (C) and the base (1)
to each other and to the floor.
WALL MOUNTING
Place the fire bed (1a) definitively, resting it on the base
(1) without fixing it in any way, fill the joints only with
refractory earth; the fire bed will in such a way be free
to be able to expand and shrink with the stresses of the
heat of the fire.
Position and level the bottom and side walls (4 SX, 2,
4DX) on the fire bed (1a), fixing them with the glue; then
position the side walls (3) on the fire bed (1a) fixing them
with suitable refractory mixtures. If the fireplace is to be
installed with right or left opening, do not install one of
the walls (3).
Place the cast iron plate (2b) against the wall (2), drill the
wall with a 5mm bit, then screw the cast iron plate (2b)
with the two 6 self-drilling screws supplied.
MOUNTING THE RING, HOOD AND FUME GAS
REGULATOR
Place the ring (13) above the walls (2-3-4SX-4DX)
and
fix it with the glue
,
install the hood (14) always taking
care to seal the support areas with the glue.
Place the
fume gas regulator (12) over the hood and the chain
(12a). Then insert the combustion air regulator (7), the
ash collection box (9) and the cast iron grill (10).
Complete by inserting the embers protector (11a) in-
serting it into the gap between the fire bed (1a) and the
cladding (A).
