6.5.3 78R ASSEMBLY
AIR INTAKE
Mark the position of the air intake (D) of the recommend
-
ed diameter on the outside wall; move the barbecue
away and make the hole (D) marked on the wall.
This outlet must always be open and equipped with an
anti-insect grille and adjustable closing shutter.
The section of the hole (D) must be increased by
20% for every meter of distance from the external
wall.
For further information see par. 5.3
EXTERNAL
AIR INTAKE
and the technical data sheet.
BASE POSITIONING
Position the optional height increasing element (C) (35
cm or 70 cm) on the installation site. Remove the base (1)
from the packaging and place it on the height increasing
element.
To check that the height reached by the base
(1) is correct, temporarily place the fire surfaces (2a-2b)
dry, then check that the height of the base (1) with the fire
beds above corresponds to the height of the cladding (A)
chosen
; otherwise use a height increasing element of a
different height
.
A space of 5 mm must be provided for expansion
between the fire beds (2a– 2b). Fix the height
increasing element (C) and the base (1) to each
other and to the floor.
WALL MOUNTING
Position the fire beds (2a-2b) definitively, resting them
on the base (1) without securing them in any way. Fill the
joints only with refractory earth. The fire beds will be free
to expand and restrict with the heat from the fire.
Position and level the bottom walls (3 and 4) fixing them
to the base (1) and to each other with the glue; then
position the side panels (5) on the fire bed (2a) fixing
them with the glue. If the fireplace is to be installed with
right or left opening, do not install one of the walls (5).
Position the cast iron plate (9) in the lowering of the walls
(3 and 4) taking care that it remains above the fire bed
(2b) making use of all the available space.
Once the ideal position has been found, drill the wall (3)
with a 5mm bit, then screw the cast iron plate (9) with the
two 6 self-drilling screws supplied.
MOUNTING THE RING, HOOD AND FUME GAS
REGULATOR
Place the ring (6) above the back wall (4) and side walls
(5)
and fix it with suitable refractory mixtures.
Place the
fume gas regulator (7-7a) over
the ring (6), then fit the
hood (8) always taking care to seal the support areas
with an adequate refractory mixture.
Insert the combustion air regulator (11), the ash collec-
tion box (12) and the cast iron grill (13).
Complete by inserting the embers protector (11a) in-
serting it into the gap between the fire bed (2a) and the
cladding (A).
