Procedure

Prepare MADSEN OTOflex 100 to start measuring as soon as seal is achieved:

1. Do as described in

Preparing for testing

►

2. Load a test setting configured for screening patients in the relevant age group. See recommended settings below.

Note

•

The safety intensity level cannot be exceeded in screening mode.

3. If needed, toggle the

Ear Selector

to select the ear on which you wish to start the test.

Sequence testing

If sequence testing is selected, the test starts with tympanometry testing and continues with
reflex screening.

4. Apply the probe to the patient’s ear with a steady grip. This will prevent probe movements

from resulting in leakage or changes in admittance.

The test starts automatically as soon as a good probe fit with an airtight seal is achieved.

Warning

•

If the patient is troubled by the test, stop the test. The test is interrupted and

the pump pressure is relieved immediately.Already measured results are kept.

Pausing the test

Steady: Press to pause test.

Flashing: Press to continue.

After the pause, the test resumes at the intensity it came to or was interrupted in.

Stopping the test
