connected varies depending on the total current consumed by those Units.
For details, refer to the C200H Installation Guide.
As shown in the following table, the number of Units that can be mounted to
a Remote I/O Slave Rack is limited not only by current consumption, but also
by the volume of data to be transferred.
The C200H-OV001 Voice Unit cannot be used with a CS1–series or
C200HX/HG/HE(-Z) PC if an OMRON operator interface (Programmable Ter-
minal) is connected to the peripheral port or RS-232C port via NT Link. Take
the following countermeasures.
•
CS1 Series PCs
Use a CS1W-SCB
jj
/SCU
jj
, and connect the Programmable Terminal
to its serial communications port.
•
C200HX/HG/HE(-Z) PCs
Use a C200HW-COM
jj
, and connect the Programmable Terminal to its
serial communications port.
When using the C200H-OV001 Voice Unit, the baud rate for the peripheral
port or the RS-232C port must not exceed 9,600 bps (regardless of the serial
communications mode).
The number of Special I/O Units that can be mounted to a Remote I/O Slave
Rack is as shown in the following table.
The figures in the table apply only when no Special I/O Unit is mounted to
other Racks (i.e., CPU and Expansion I/O Racks) and only when Units be-
longing to each of groups A, B, C, and D are mounted to a Remote I/O Slave
Rack.

Note 1. When units from groups A, B, C, and D are used in combination, the fol-
lowing relations must be satisfied:

2. A maximum of 10 Units can be mounted to a Remote I/O Slave Rack.
However, the NC211 Position Control Unit counts as two Units and if a PC
Link Unit is used, it must be counted as one Unit.

Input/Output Device Connections
The Voice Unit can be connected to either a dynamic microphone or cassette
tape recorder via the message input jack.
Message recording via a microphone is simpler than using a cassette tape
recorder, however the quality of tape-recorded messages is higher.
