4-8 Password Screen Display Function
For the purposes of security, the NT11 has a function that requires a pass-
word to be input before the specified screen can be displayed.
This section explains how to set and use passwords.
Screen transition in password input
Notes on password input • The password is set as a four-digit numerical value.
• The password for a password screen is input using the numeric keys on
the panel of the NT11.
• When a password is input, it is not displayed on the screen. Only a box
shaped cursor is displayed.
• The input password is checked after input of the fourth digit. There is no
need to press the “ENTER” key.
• If the correct password is not input in three successive attempts, the
password input error flag (bit 9) in the PT status notification bits comes
ON and the specified screen is not displayed.
Password screen setting The password and switching destination screen setting for the password
screen are set using the support tool.

Procedure for displaying the password screen
Explained here is the procedure for displaying the password screen by speci-
fication from the PLC.
The password screen is displayed by writing the screen number of the screen
for which the password setting was made into the screen switch setting word
of the PT status control area.
