6.5 Recordings Backup onto External Disk via FireWire Port
It is possible to backup recordings onto an external HDD connected via FireWire port. If you wan to
copy recordings in this way make sure that this disk is set as copy-disk in the multiplexer’s menu.
Backup files can be played back on the multiplexer or a computer by means of
N-Viewer 3000
software.
Notices:
1. Recording is still active during copying.
2. Live Monitoring via computer network is possible but the refresh rate goes down.
3. Web monitoring is not possible during copying.
4. Using internal backup HDD and external backup HDD via FireWire is impossible.
In order to backup recordings onto an external HDD connected via FireWire port go to
System Setup/
HDD Backup
.
The same menu as described in chapter 6.2 appears on the screen. Select the range of the
material you want to copy (or use indexed range) and press
Backup.
