Instructions Manual
6. Maintenance
The belt (A) is a power transmission element
used to transmit force and motion to the
rotor.
With the machine switched off, the belt must
be checked every 50 working hours or weekly.
1.
Loosen the 4 bolts that secure the housing
(C);
2.
Tighten the nut (D) until the belt is
streched;
3.
Retighten the 4 housing bolts (C).
6.4.1- How to stretch the belt
ATTENTION!
Turn off the tractor and remove
the ignition key before starting
the following procedure.
6.4 - Belt
(pulley version only)
Inspect new belts constantly for the
first 20 working hours and adjust
tensioning as necessary following the
instructions above. Use this procedure
each time you attach new belts to the
machine.
Correct tensioning can extend belt life
and reduce downtime.
The best tensioning is that point
where the transmission is at the lowest
tension without the belt being skid. An
under-tensioned transmission causes
wear and friction overheating.
When over tensioned, it may
compromise shafts, housings and
bearings due to premature fatigue.
