Add Hot Spare

Clicking

Configure RAID > Add Spare

takes you to the

Add Hot Spare

page, which allows you to

designated specific disk drives as “spares” which will be used to reconstruct RAID arrays when array disks
fail.

Note

If your Nexsan High-Density Storage system has an attached expansion unit, you are first prompted to

select which unit the new spare is in.
