Captive Portal Configuration
By default, the switch has one captive portal. You can change the settings for that captive
portal, and you can also create and configure up to nine additional portals.
To display the Captive Portal Configuration page, click
Security
Control> Captive Portal
CP Configuration. (Shown in two figures below.)
1.
Use the
CP ID
pull-down menu to select the CP ID for which to create or update.

Use
CP Name
to enter the name of the configuration. Name can contain 1 to 31
alphanumeric characters.

Use
Admin Mode
to enable or disable this CP instance.
4.
Use
Protocol
to choose whether to use HTTP or HTTPs as the protocol for the portal to use
during the verification process:
•
HTTP
- Does not use encryption during verification.
•
HTTPS
- Uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which requires a certificate to provide
encryption. The certificate is presented to the user at connection time.
