Setting Up MIDI Support
1.
From the Main group, double click on “Control Panel.” The Control Panel menu
appears.
2.
Double click on the “Drivers” icon and then click on the “Add” button.
3.
Go to the bottom of the list and select “MIDI Synthesizer” and then click “OK.”
4.
When the screen comes up prompting you to Restart Computer, click on the
“Restart” button.
5.
When Windows restarts, access the Control Panel menu again and select “MIDI
Mapper.”
6.
Select “Synthesizer” from the Name drop down box.
7.
Click on the “Close” button.
Intel Bus Mastering IDE Driver Installation
The following procedures describe how to install and configure the IDE Bus Master drivers.
Read the instructions before installing the drivers.
Installing the IDE Drivers
Use this procedure to install the IDE drivers.
1.
Insert the Intel Bus Master diskette into drive A:.
2.
From the Program Manager menu select File, Run.
3.
Type
A:\SETUP.EXE
and click on “OK.”
4.
When a message box appears asking you to read the license, click “Yes.”
To read the license, click behind the message box.
5.
If you accept the license, then close the license document and click “Yes.”
6.
Accept “C:\PIIXIDE” as the driver destination and click “OK.”
7.
When given the screen to read the README.TXT file, click “Yes.”
8.
Remove the diskette from the diskette drive.
9.
Close the README.TXT file.
