Cleaning and care
95
Remove any soiling from the control panel and from the front of
the dishwasher straight away.
Soiling that is left too long might become impossible to remove and
could cause the external surfaces to alter or discolour.
All surfaces are susceptible to scratching.
Contact with unsuitable cleaning agents can alter or discolour the
external surfaces.
Cleaning the control panel
Clean the control panel with a clean sponge and a solution of
washing-up liquid and hot water, or with a clean damp microfibre
cloth. Dry the control panel with a soft cloth afterwards.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents!
These can damage the control panel.
Cleaning the door front
To clean the stainless steel front, use a damp cloth with a solution
of washing-up liquid and hot water, or with a non-abrasive cleaning
agent for use on stainless steel.
To help prevent re-soiling (fingerprints, etc.), a suitable stainless steel
conditioner (available from Miele) can be used after cleaning.
Do not use cleaning agents containing ammonia or thinners!
These agents can damage the surface material.
Do not hose the dishwasher or near vicinity down to clean it,
e.g. with a hosepipe or a pressure washer.
Cleaning the wash cabinet
The wash cabinet is largely self-cleaning, provided that the correct
amount of cleaning agent is always used.
If, despite this, limescale or grease deposits accumulate in the
cabinet, these can be removed with a proprietary dishwasher cleaner
(available from Miele).
