Overview of key functions

WARNING ‑ Danger of accident or injury
if children are left unattended in the vehi‐
cle
If children are left unattended in the vehicle,
they could:
R
open doors, thereby endangering other
persons or road users.
R
get out of the vehicle and be hit by
oncoming traffic.
R
operate vehicle equipment.
Moreover, children could also set the vehicle
in motion by, for example:
R
releasing the parking brake.
R
shifting the automatic transmission out of
park position P
j
or shifting manual
transmission into idle position.
R
starting the engine.

Never leave children and animals unat‐
tended in the vehicle.

When leaving the vehicle, always take
the key with you and lock the vehicle.

Keep the vehicle key out of the reach of
children.

Keep the key away from strong mag‐
netic fields.
