exposed to extreme heat or cold over an
extended period of time, there is a risk of
injury or even fatal injury.

Never leave anyone – particularly chil‐
dren – unattended in the vehicle.

ded in the vehicle
If children are traveling in the vehicle, they
could:

Open doors, thereby endangering other
persons or road users.

Get out of the vehicle and be hit by
oncoming traffic.

Operate vehicle equipment and become
trapped, for example.

Always activate the child safety locks
available if children are traveling in the
vehicle.

Never leave children unattended in the
vehicle.
#
When leaving the vehicle, always take
the SmartKey with you and lock the
vehicle.
Child safety locks are available for the rear doors
and for the rear side windows.
The child safety lock on the rear doors secures
each door separately. The doors can no longer
be opened from the inside.
#
Press the lever in direction

(activate) or

(deactivate).

Make sure that the child safety locks are
working properly.
