If you call up the stored speed and this is
lower than your current speed, the vehicle
decelerates.
If you do not know the stored speed, the
vehicle could decelerate unexpectedly.

Take into account the traffic situation
before calling up the stored speed.
#
If the stored speed is not known, store
the desired speed again.
Change into a lower gear in good time on long
and steep downhill gradients. This is especially
important if the vehicle is laden. By doing so,
you will make use of the braking effect of the
engine. This relieves the load on the brake sys‐
tem and prevents the brakes from overheating
and wearing too quickly.
