12. Maintenance
Periodically verify the technical safety of the device, e.g. check for damage to the power cable or the housing.
If you have reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediately and
make sure it is not unintentionally operated. Pull the power plug out of the power socket!
It must be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• there is visible damage to the device or to the power line
• the device no longer works
• the device has been stored for a long time under unfavourable conditions or
• after the device has been exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the mixer:
The device is maintenance free. For this reason, you should never open it. Live components
may be exposed if covers are opened or components are removed. If you do open it, the gua-
rantee will be rendered invalid.
All connected appliances must be disconnected from the mains before servicing or repairs.
Only qualified experts familiar with the hazards involved and the relevant regulations may
perform repairs.
The device should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or brush from the outside. Never use any aggressive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions that may damage the surface of the housing.
13. Replacing the Fuse
If fuses have to be changed, make sure that they are replaced only with fuses of the same type and rated current
(refer to the Technical Data).
It is inadmissible to repair fuses or bridge the fuse holder.
• Only after disconnecting from the mains (unplug at the socket!) the low-power main connector should be un-
plugged from the mains connection on the device. Lever out the fuse holder with the defective fuse below the
mains connection.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
• Now carefully put the fuse holder with the new fuse back in.
• Only now may the mains cable be reconnected to the power socket on the mixer and plugged into the mains
socket.
