6. Connections and Control Elements
9) PAN control
The PAN control determines the separation of the mono signal onto the right and left chan-
nels of the STEREO output.
In the centre position, the signal is sent to both outputs.
In “R” position,
no
signal is shifted to the left output.
In “RL position,
no
signal is shifted to the right output.
10) MUTE/ALT 3-4 switch
Use the MUTE/ALT 3-4 switch to switch the channel between the ALT 3-4 – and the MAIN
MIX Bus. If the MUTE/ALT 3-4 switch is pressed, the signal of this channel is sent to the
ALT 3-4 Bus. Use the ALT 3-4 slider to control the signal at the outputs ALT 3-4 OUT-
PUTS. The signal is muted for MAIN MIX Bus (MAIN OUTPUTS).
The effect signal of the channel (processed by the integrated digital
effect processor) is audible at the MAIN OUTPUTS even if the MUTE/ALT
3-4 switch is pressed.
12) MUTE LED
The MUTE LED is lit if the channel is switched to the ALT 3-4 Bus.
13) CLIP LED
At this CLIP LED, you can monitor the input level visually. In order to avoid oversteering or
a distortion of the signal, the lighting up of the CLIP LED should be prevented. Turn the
TRIM control back and, if necessary, check the settings of the three equaliser controls.
The CLIP LED is permanently lit if the channel was selected for the pre-
view with the SOLO switch.
14) SOLO switch
When the SOLO switch is depressed, you can listen/pre-listen to the channel via headphones and visually monitor
it via the level display. The signal can be taken PRE fader (PFL = Pre Fader Listen) as well as POST fader (SOLO
= Solo in Place). The signal is also sent to the CONTROL ROOM sockets. For this, see “LED Level Displays and
MONITORING Section”.
15) Channel faders
Use the channel fader to set the ratio between channel and overall signal (MAIN MIX / ALT 3-4 MIX). The channel
fader should always be put in the position „∞ when the channel is not used.
