6. Connections and Control Elements
MONO CHANNELS
1) MIC input
This symmetric (balanced) XLR socket is intended for connecting a microphone.
A phantom feed of +48 VDC can be switched to the XLR socket for operating a
capacitator microphone.
Microphones or devices that do not need any phantom feed can be
damaged by it. See mains connection area.
2) LINE input
Symmetric (balanced) 6.3 mm LINE jack socket for connecting an instrument or device
with a LINE output (keyboard, synthesizer, etc.). This socket can also be connected to
an asymmetric (unbalanced) mono plug. In this case, keep the cables short so prevent
the danger of outside interferences.
Only the MIC or LINE socket of a channel may be assigned. Both inputs
of a channel may not be occupied at the same time.
3) LOW CUT switch
This switch activates or deactivates the LOW CUT filter. This filter suppresses low-
frequency signals (75Hz , 18dB/octave). The LOW CUT filter is active when the
switch is pressed.
4) TRIM control
Using the TRIM control, you can set the input sensitivity of the channel. The different
high signals of the individual channels can thus be pre-amplified and adapted to one
another. Turn the control to the left stop before connecting or disconnecting a device
to the input socket.
